Who am I?

My name is Rufus King and I was born in what is now Scarborough, Maine on March 24th, 1755. I was a delegate of Massachusetts at the Continental Congress for signing the Constitution, and oppose slavery. I moved to New York and became a Senator of New York and after my term was appointed Minister to Great Britain. I ran for President and Vice-President under my dear friend Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, but we lost both times. Under the Episcopalian religion, I had married Mary Alsop in 1786. We had seven children, but only five lived until adulthood, John, Charles, James, Edward, and Frederick. I was one of the directors for the first bank in America. I am regarded as one of the Founding Fathers, but I was one of the framers of the Constitution. On a Voyage as Minister to Great Britain I became ill and passed away on April 29th, 1827, I am buried next to my wife Mary near our home, in Long Island, New York.
