I am setting up Elgg for a 5th grade class.  The teacher wants to be notified if a student tries make a post or a comment with profanity. I am prepared to write a plugin to do this.  Was just wondering if there any other plugins that do any thing similar?  My give something to start with.

Thanks

I am testing this plugin in my local server under windows.

when I try to save a part in skills & competences, it kills my apache server!!!!

when I turn on the server again and try to go to my CV page, I have the same problem.

What could be wrong with it?

I'm looking for a plugin/widget that would add the facility to display a web page (actually its just a list of links) on a subscribers profile page.

Any clues as to how to go about it would be gratefully received.

Hoping someone might help me in how to add a PHP 'include' in the Advertiser Plug-In, so I can rotate some random ads?

I'm not a PHP person, but I think the 'END' block or the three 'less-than' angle brackets (heredoc?) stops PHP being intepreted (code gets ignored)?

Wanted to use the 'Simple Ad Rotator' from PHPBuddy:

Thanks

I was going to start on a plugin that would log when certain events happen such as posts, comments, profile changes, and login.  Doesn't look like it will be to hard with the Events API that Elgg has but just checking to make sure it is not already out there.

Thanks.

If you look at Radikale.net (a social site that looks suspiciously much like Elgg, except it's ASP :) ) you'll see that they have a combo of Google maps and google map markers. In the block "Kommende events" to the right they have connected an event calendar with google maps, to produce a marker for where each event that the users submit is.

Has any one of you seen, or are any of you planning to write, a plugin that has this combination of maps and markers?

Hi,

We've got a problem with displaying files as mentioned in the title. It's an Internet Explorer issue, but it doesn't happen when displaying the same files in the Files area (CORRECTION: it does seem to happen in the Files area as well when the files are not set as Public - my mistake). I know there are issues with IE and secure sites, and I can see in lib/filelib.php a reference to the issue, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to see what's going wrong with the display from the presentation tool.

Anybody else come across this? Any easy solutions?

Jim

P.S.: it seems that either setting IE7 to "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" OR setting the access restrictions for the presentation and the files to Public will allow the files to be viewed. I think the second works for IE6 as well, though I need to do some checking.

I just released the xmlrpcclient plugin.

For now, It has only the ability to search in other elgg sites (servers) and give the results back while the user searches some tags on your elgg platform (client).

This plugin is written globaly, so that other client requests can also be implemented and added to it.

Has anybody had success installing the Profile Comment Wall Widget in elgg 0.8? When I do I get a nasty error. Any help would be great.
