just wondering if anybody has given thought to implementing a simple link directory plugin that would allow a user or admin to create a category, nested categories, add links and descriptions kind of thing..yes, it can be done with presentations as well, but they don't support the kind of nesting that may be required for a robust collection....
i've been toying with the code from scuttle (scuttle.org) and considering wirting a bookmarks manager for elgg, but its low on the priority list for now.
I've someone starts, let me know as I'll be happy to help.
Note: Scuttle give a good example of how to support the delicious api in a bookmarking tool if someone decides to take this on.

scuttle was a very cool project, seems to be quiet though...i was also looking at this wordpress plugin that seems to do it as well:
...there are a slew of php link directories out there already, just wondering if any could easily be pulled in as a mod (particlelinks, freeglobes, etc)

a directory script would be great! what about just having a blogroll also? This is a weird omission on elgg also. . .
