We've set up an ElggVoices channel for general Elgg discussion. This is not a replacement for the forums, but if you're out and about and have a quick question, or would like to talk to the community in a more instant way, we think you'll find it very useful.To sign up, visit the Elgg Discussion ElggVoices channel. I've got an account, and am still working it out ...
A couple of points. I've filled in the fact that I'm "female"; but on the home page it said "Emma has uploaded his or her avatar". (That was after I'd told it I was female). I find "his or her" so clunky! Could it either be "their", or, if someone has said they're male/female/dude/chick the relevant pronoun. (Or, I suppose I ought to say, relevant to the gender they've claimed!)
I have to confess slightly, though, that I was expecting "Elgg Voices" to be something audio based. I'm acutally quite glad it's text based, as I'm not really that fond of audio, though I know a lot in the ed - tech community like it!
Looking forward to getting more familiar with it.
