Hi all,

Just trying to install Elgg and get a message stating "Warning: Your system does not support pgsql. Check again."

I haven't been able to resolve this.

Also, what is the database table prefix?

Thanks very much for any help you can offer.

I tried many times to post the following comment to a blog at elgg.org, but it kept saying the comment could not be posted. Weird and frustrating. No mention of why it is rejecting it. NOTE: I have added spaces to the domain names so that I can actually post this!!

Also, two relevant FAQs at 1and1 BUT you don't need them to make the summary above work:
How can I change PHP directives in php.ini or .htaccess?: http://   faq.1and1.com/search/go.php?t=e660257&q=php+module
Disabling global variables: http://   faq.1and1.com/scripting_languages_supported/php/18.html

Keywords: comment, could not post, error, links

Hello community,

short question about understanding elgg.

How can I be able to participate in some discussions?

e.g. If I go at the Startpage under "Latest Discussion" picking a point, I can read the discussion, but I cant`t find a way to give my own mustard to this discussion. Why?

for example:
http://elgg.org/mod/vanillaforum/vanilla/comments.php?DiscussionID=931
or
http://elgg.org/mod/vanillaforum/vanilla/comments.php?DiscussionID=949
or
http://elgg.org/mod/vanillaforum/vanilla/comments.php?DiscussionID=908
and so on..

I never finde some typical forum functions? Is this normal?

Furthermore, I asked myself how can I write a personal message to certain members? Is that possible?

I would be overjoyed if I get a short briefing or a link to the documentation. How can I post in a diskussion.

Thanks for the help.

cheers caipi
